Ellenborough AC was started in 1958 by Raymond & Mary Thompson. Many young people from Maryport and the surrounding areas of West Cumbria have enjoyed wearing the royal blue and gold kit. If you are looking for an athletics club in West Cumbria give us a call.
The club provides opportunities for young people from the age of 7 upwards to receive coaching and competition in athletics.
The club is striving to provide a high quality, safe and welcoming environment and just completed the Sport England CLUBMARK process.The Clubmark award will be presented to the Club at 6.30pm on Friday 12th June at Netherhall rugby club. Following the short presentation there will be a couple of hours of fun filled games of adults v kids at Sack race, 3 legged race and welly throwing etc. The bar will be open for adults and there will be a raffle, but there is no admission charge. The Club welcomes all members to this special occasion. All of our coaches hold UK Athletics qualifications and have advanced CRB checks done.
Kits and Equipment: Anyone who wishes to represent the club at cross country, fell running, or any athletics event, requires a club vest and shorts. These are available from Hazel Cameron on 07799 067260. The Ellenborough Track suits are available from Sports Zone, near Netherhall corner in Maryport. Spiked running shoes can be bought at Temple Sports, Station Street, Cockermouth, where you will receive a 10% discount if you are an Ellenborough A.C. member.
